RECALLS
SFM is notified when there is a new recall on a vehicle in the Fleet.
SFM provides a list of required recalls for each vehicle during the monthly MVAC meetings. It is the Fleet Coordinator’s responsibility to ensure the vehicle with an outstanding recall is taken to the dealership to be fixed. Even though there is no charge for the recall work, SFM still must receive an invoice from the dealership showing the recall was completed. Please direct the dealership to send the invoice to dpa_statefleetrecalls@state.co.us.
Two reports in CARS that can help with recall management are Recalls Not Completed and Recalls Completed:
A. Running the "Recalls Not Completed" Report in CARS Cloud
Follow these steps to generate the report and track outstanding vehicle recalls:
From the Menu bar, select Customer Reports.
Choose Report Selection.
In the "Reporting Category" dropdown, select Recalls (need to scroll down to see it).
In the "Report Name" box, select Recalls Not Completed.
In the "Parameters" box, select your Cabinet, Dept, and Unit from the dropdown menus. You can use the % symbol as a wildcard to select all.
Click Run.
Once the report is generated, you have the option to save it as an Excel file or a PDF.
The report results will include relevant vehicle details, followed by the date the recall was issued, the recall number, and a short description of what is included in the recall.
B. Running the "Recalls Completed" Report in CARS Cloud
Follow these steps to generate a report on completed vehicle recalls:
From the Menu bar, select Customer Reports.
Choose Report Selection.
In the "Reporting Category" dropdown, select Recalls.
In the "Report Name" box, select Recalls Completed.
In the "Parameters" box, select your Cabinet, Dept, Unit, and the desired time frame from the dropdown menus. (You can use the % symbol as a wildcard to select all.)
Click Run.
This report can be saved in Excel or as a PDF.
This is what the results would look like for Recalls Completed Report.
